Hello and welcome to my website! I am a physicist with interests in theoretical nuclear physics, astrophysics, and gravitational physics, and with issues at their intersection. I am especially interested in dense nuclear matter Equations of State and their inference from gravitational and electromagnetic observations of neutron stars and neutron star binaries. In addition, I have interests in astroparticle physics, especially on analysis of heavy ion collisions and analogies with early universe physics. Separately, and inter-relatedly, I am interested in the ekpyrotic and bounce cosmologies as alternatives (and supplements) to traditional big-bang and inflationary cosmological models.

In addition, I also have interests in nuclear technology and safety analyses, and have worked on a variety of technological and safety aspects in fusion, fission, hybrid and Generation-IV/V reactor concepts, including nuclear hydrogen production. I have also worked on stewardship and innovation policy issues in other advanced technologies, including carbon technologies, biotechnologies, and nanotechnologies.
